Moma Tina’s Mission House spreads love through free Thanksgiving Day meals

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Moma Tina’s Mission House is spreading the love of God through food by giving out free Thanksgiving meals.

According to Moma Tinna, her son, Kenneth Glasgow, received a vision from God. That vision turned into him and his friends creating a house that feeds anybody in need.

On Thanksgiving day, Moma Tina did just that by preparing over 700 meals for the community. She says she wanted to focus on urban and impoverished neighborhoods because she believes they have a great need.

“They already waiting on us to bring them a meal today because we want everybody to have a turkey,” Tina said.

Several volunteers pitched in to make pre-packaged Thanksgiving meals. They shared how thankful they were to be apart of this blessing to others.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Tina’s organization believes it’s the time to give thanks for the blessings God has given you.

For first-time volunteer Angel Dun-Rose, this type of gesture has always been on her heart.

“It’s my first year here so being able to actually branch out and fulfill my heart and dream of feeding 500 and 700 people is actually amazing,” Dun-Rose said.

Happy Thanksgiving to all those in the Wiregrass area
