MIDLAND CITY, Ala. (WDHN) - An unusual school supply fundraiser took place in central Dale County over the weekend.
Midland city's second annual bike parade started at Dale County High School and made its way through the streets to city hall. Mayor Joann Grimsley was the pace-setter and it didn't matter if it was a regular bicycle, or a motorcycle.
With a high poverty rate, organizers said its important to help those hometown families' who don't have any resources' to spare.
This year's parade raised a few hundred needed dollars for school supplies for local families.
