Troy police arrest man in shooting

The Troy Police Department has arrested a man in its investigation of a shooting.

Christian London of Troy was charged with attempted murder after turning himself into authorities. He knew the victim before the shooting, according to a press release.

ORIGINAL REPORT:

TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Troy Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night.

According to a release from Chief Randall Barr, a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times on Banks Street. Officers responded to the incident at 9:21 p.m., but before they got there, the victim was already taken to Troy Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.

The victim was stabilized and taken to a Montgomery hospital by air for treatment.
