Man killed after being ejected during truck crash

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) — A Marianna man is dead after his truck swerved trying to avoid stopped traffic.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver was headed east on U.S. Highway 90 when the vehicle in front of him came to a stop.

Witnesses say the driver didn’t notice on time and tried to swerve to stop from hitting the vehicle.

However, he then ended up on the ditch and hit an embankment, sending the pickup truck into the air.

The truck ended up flipping over once it hit the ground, finally landing on its roof. The driver was ejected from the vehicle since he was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
