Man in Houston Co. Jail on $1.5 million bond for drug trafficking

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Houston County Sheriff’s Office has been quiet about what happened on Ross Clark Circle Thursday.

A vehicle pursuit ended on the east side, coming to a stop on the Columbia Highway overpass bridge.

Deputies were spread out through the area from the McDonalds down the overpass to Columbia Highway — even over by Wayne Farms.

Traffic was stalled quite a bit by the crime scene.

We reached out to Sheriff Donald Valenza again Friday who couldn’t provide comment on the matter.

We did check Houston County arrests for Thursday and one fit the description of what happened on the east side of town.

Travoris Jamal Jackson is facing an eluding charge, but that’s the least of his worries tonight.

Jackson was booked for drug trafficking with a bond for $1.5 million alone for that one crime.

He’s also facing distribution charges and for firing a gun into an occupied building.
