DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Love in Action’s ministry needs has doubled.
There is usually an uptick in people needing help with food, clothing, and hygiene items during the summer months.
Since school started back in August, those numbers have not dropped. In August, 400 people were served through their food, hygiene pantries and clothing rooms. 3,000 hot meals were served.
This is because the number of homeless people has been on the rise which means higher expenses.
“We can always use donations. Canned vegetables, canned items, non-perishables, canned meats, pasta that sort of items and also hygiene items are also needed as well,” said Ken Tuck, the President of Love in Action.
If you’d like to help, you can mail in a financial donation or you may give online through their website.
