DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Wiregrass 2-1-1 celebrated a new achievement, all thanks to residents’ love for Dothan.
Wednesday, the organization revealed the total funds raised by its “Love Dothan” apparel sales project, sponsored by Playmaker Embroidery.
Nearly 800 shirts and hats that boasted love for Dothan were sold with $2.11 of every sale going to benefit Wiregrass 2-1-1.
In total, the group raised $1,677.45.
“We’re here because of the local community,” said Wiregrass 2-1-1 Executive Director David Duke. “We’re here because of businesses like Playmaker and those that support and believe in what it is that we’re doing. We just say thank you. We’re glad to be here and we look forward to continuing to provide our service.”
Wiregrass 2-1-1 currently has 14 volunteers and three employees—all working every day to help Wiregrass residents.
