DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It is the dreaded freshman fifteen, a term used to describe people who gain weight during their first year of college. Now the freshman 15 could turn into the quarantine 15.
That’s because people have been staying home more.
Courtland Johnson, of Southern Nutrition talks about ways people can lose their quarantine weight gain.
Johnson tells us how they have seen an increase in customers looking for weight loss supplements or trying to find a meal plan right for them.
“We have a machine that will actually kinda give you a basic metabolic rate which is how many calories your body is burning everyday and from there we’ll actually help you build a meal plan,” Johnson said.
Johnson says you can take metabolic enhancers if you aren’t able to go to the gym, that could help you burn calories.
He says a good diet is the foundation to weight loss and looks forward to helping people get rid of that quarantine 15.
