Dothan, Ala. (WDHN)—YellaWood man Jimmy Rane was the special guest at the Dothan Chamber of Commerce’s 100th annual meeting that was celebrated today.
Rane said he was honored to be there.
“I have such a closeness in my heart for chambers of commerce because they play such a vital role in helping a community grow and be prosperous,” said Rane, Ceo/Founder of Great Southern Wood .
Mr. Rane has had a lot of success in his career, but despite this, he remains humble and credits God for his success.
“I think you can only eat three meals a day, you can’t wear but one pair of pants, and you can’t drive but one car,” Rane said.
Former Chamber Chairman Mary Beth Maddox had great things to say about Mr. Rane.
“I think, I said this earlier, we knew that Mr. Rane had made yellow king,” said former Chamber Chairman Mary Beth Maddox. “We knew that he had orange and blue in his heart, but what you might not know is he bleeds red, white, and blue. The man is a true American patriot.”
Other members of the chamber appreciate what Mr. Rane has done for the community.
“You know, his commitment to the community of both in Abbeville and just in our general area,” said Chamber Chairman Cliff Mendheim. “He could of very easily opened Abbeville fiber somewhere else for a lesser amount of money. He chose to be in Abbeville, and his commitment is paying off for the citizens of our area.”
