DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A joint investigation by the Dothan and Eufaula police departments has struck a blow to a local drug trafficking operation.

Police stopped Eufaula resident Araceli Martinez-Zamora, 31, on the 1900 block of North Eufaula Avenue Wednesday afternoon when they found seven kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in her car.

The seven bags of meth are said to have a street value in excess of $400,000.

After the discovery, officers booked Martinez-Zamora into Eufaula City Jail on drug trafficking charges. Court records do not show a prior history with drug crime, only a traffic violation back in 2015.
