The Wiregrass United Way celebrated a victory after another successful campaign.
The board announced Friday afternoon the campaign’s results, which totaled to a whopping $2,893,172.
The total marking 100.15 percent of the campaign’s goal.
With those funds, United Way will soon start visiting local agencies in a six-county region to help determine the agencies’ needs.
However, just because the campaign is over, doesn’t mean you cannot make a donation.
“$25, $50, $100, any amount, we accept it because our agencies need it,” “They need funds. We can never, never in my lifetime, will the United Way fund these 41 agencies 100 percent of what they need,” said Walter hill, Wiregrass United Way chief executive officer.
United Way will soon begin preparing for the 2020-2021 campaign.
