HARTFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — The CEO of Wiregrass Medical Center said her facility has space to handle additional coronavirus cases.
According to Janet Smith, the facility currently has 17 in-patient cases, seven of whom are being treated for covid.
Currently, there are no COVID-19 patients in the intensive care unit.
The hospital is licensed to handle as many as 49 patients.
Meanwhile, surgeries and other healthcare services continue as normal
