UPDATE:

The Dothan Police Department has released surveillance video of one of the break-ins in East Dothan and is asking for help in identifying the suspect.

The video shows a man dressed in dark shorts and a light colored hoodie — possibly white or grey with a logo on the front — approach what appears to be a truck and sedan at 4:09 a.m. Wednesday.

The suspect first tries to open the passenger door of the truck only to discover it is locked. He then uses a flashlight to look into the vehicle but quickly move on to the Sedan.

He has better luck this time, opening the driver’s door and reaching inside. The video cuts to around a minute later as the suspect closes the door, although it is unclear if they were holding just the flashlight in their right hand or something else.

The suspect then walks away. Police have described him as a light-skinned black man.

If you know who this person is, you are asked to call the Dothan Police Department at 334-615-3000 or CrimeStoppers at 334-793-7000.
