DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A vehicle pursuit through Dothan ended abruptly after the suspects’ vehicle crashed into a tree.

According to Rickey Stokes News, the chase originally began in Midland City when police there tried to pull an SUV over for not having a tag.

Midland City and Dothan police officers along with Houston County deputies joined forces to catch up with the driver.

At one point, the driver reportedly drove on the wrong side of the Ross Clark Circle while heading to West Main Street before turning into the circle, bringing the pursuit into the neighborhoods there at some point.

The driver’s escape ended after they crashed on the area Naomi Drive and Woods Drive, prompting them to escape on foot. Officers later took two people into custody.

Currently, this is a developing story. We will follow it more at a later time.
