Two arrested in Dothan grocery store robbery

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Two people face charges for allegedly robbing the Shur-Value Foods store on the old site of Porter Square Mall.

According to a press release, the robbery happened last Thursday, and as Dothan police investigators looked into the case, they found that the robbery was an inside job, with an employee helping to steal from the business.

The two people arrested in the case are Anthony Holston, 34, and Candice Richards, 34. Both are from Dothan.

Holston faces one charge of first-degree robbery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and has no bond. Meanwhile, Richards faces a charge for conspiracy to commit robbery and is being held on a $15,000 bond.
