DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Two Pansey men are facing charges after allegedly robbing a person they tricked into meeting for a sale, according to the Dothan Police Department.

Lt. Scott Owens said that Monday, Marquail Montez Banks, 27, and Jaquez Marshun Daffin, 21, set up a meeting with a potential buyer for an 85-inch television on the 2300 block of Denton Road.

Owens said the pair lured the victim into an abandoned trailer and threatened him with a gun, taking an undisclosed amount of money.

After some investigation, the two men were identified from a lineup as the suspects in the case.

Owens said that by analyzing the method Banks and Daffin used to conduct the robbery, the police department was able to link Banks to another incident on Denton Road. In this case, a victim was lured by a jewelry sale and robbed.

Banks faces charges for both incidents and has bonds totaling $120,000. Daffin is charged only in the Oct. 19 incident and has a bond of $60,000.
