Troy police arrest man on rape charge

TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — Troy police have arrested Tallassee man on a first-degree rape charge, according to a new release.

On March 24th officers responded to Troy Regional Medical Center where they met with the victim, 20, who advised that she had been raped at a residence in the 100 block of Nat Avenue, the release states.

After speaking with the victim, investigators identified Richard Alexander Davidson, 20, of Tallassee as the suspect.

According to the department, several items were taken from the scene as evidence. The department later arrested Davidson without incident.

He was then taken to the Pike County Jail after being processed in the Troy City Jail, getting a bond of $25,000.00.
