DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Troy University Dothan welcomed 200 students from across the Wiregrass for the annual Youth Business Summit Thursday.
Students learned everything from accounting, finance, marketing and all other areas in business. Also, Students competed in three different categories where they presented ideas to business executives in the Wiregrass.
Dr. Carmen Lewis says she hopes the students leave engaged about business after the event.
“We want them to really feel like they are apart of something that’s going to make a difference in their lives,” Dr. Lewis said. “Hopefully, this will be a catalyst for them to learn more about their major, and I’m so excited and thrilled they joined us today.
A $2500 scholarship was awarded to the winner of the business plan competition winner.
