DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — With roadwork still happening at the intersection of Highway 84 and Westgate, cars continue to be backed up from the intersection to near Flowers Hospital.
With increased traffic in early morning, lunch and dinner times, Travel time that normally takes about three minutes now takes up to half an hour.
“I just came from Five Star,” one traveler said. “I’ve been sitting at that turn for thirty minutes.”
Construction could last several months. Drivers have been advised to seek alternate routes, one of which is Fortner Street if you’re driving from the Highlands area.
