Transformer explodes near Coffee County government complex due to severe weather

NEW BROCKTON, Ala. (WDHN) — In a video taken near the Coffee County government complex in New Brockton, you can see a transformer explode during Monday mornings severe thunderstorm warning.

Thousands across Northwest Florida, Southwest Georgia, and Southeast Alabama woke-up without electricity.

Alabama power along with electric co-ops have utility crews out working to re-establishing electricity to the affected regions.

At the intersection of Windham and South Quida in Enterprise, a tree went through several power lines.
