ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise police officers and members of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested the suspect in the murder of a security guard at the Daleville Lounge.
Stevie Lamaric Franklin, 42, of Troy died after being shot in the back during a bar fight that broke out between a large group of people, with the crime happening only three days before Christmas.
Five days later, the EPD soon identified their suspect as 28-year-old Emmanuel “Mannie” Key. Court records show a history of run-ins with the law over gun-related charges, including an indictment for firing into an occupied building on Grimes Street in Enterprise.
Authorities would end up arresting Key Tuesday night while he was in Midland City.
Afterward, Key was taken to the Coffee County Jail. As of this report, he has not yet been included in the jail’s inmate roster.
