COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Drivers on Alabama Highway 125 may see some delays next week as the Alabama Department of Transportation begins a road project this Monday.
The project will extend on the highway from its intersection with Highway 167 to the Pike County line.
Workers with the Wiregrass Construction Company Inc. out of Dothan will be resurfacing, micro-milling, and putting traffic stripes the road thanks to a $1,0382,470.91 contract with ALDOT.
This will result in lane closures and lower speed limits, which will slow traffic in the area. The project is expected to be done by the end of the summer.
In the meantime, drivers are asked to be careful while traveling in the area.
