Slocomb community to hold fundraiser for officer hurt in wreck

SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN) — The Slocomb community is coming together again to support Officer Aaron Cook with another fundraiser this Saturday.

Cook was badly injured after his semi-truck crashed into a tree off of Highway 87

It will be a car show and a rib-slash-loin sale. Registration will begin at 9 a.m and run until 10 a.m.

The car show will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. To pre-register it is $15, and on the day of show, it is $20.

The event is on South Dalton Street in Slocomb.
