ABBEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Secretary of State John Merrill will send election observers from his office to ensure that the election process in Abbeville’s municipal election goes well.

The Secretary of State’s office made the decision after several Abbeville citizens voiced their concerns about the situation.

The observers will take of the following measures:

  • the on-site review of voting actions
  • the review of the absentee ballot application process
  • the observation of the absentee ballot counting measures.
