DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The second round of Paycheck Protection Program loans were released Wednesday, helping businesses right here in the wiregrass.
The first round of loans last spring following the COVID-19 shutdowns.
The loans were released to alleviate some of the financial pressure and help keep local mom-and-pop shops open.
“That first impact was huge, and this second impact we hope will continue to assist those businesses that are having some challenging times,” said Dean Mitchell, executive director of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mitchell said if you own a business that needs financial help, reach out to your local chamber of commerce.
