DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Salvation Army is accepting applications for its Angel Tree Program.

The program will help parents gift their kids with toys.

It will also help senior citizens who are in need of food.

The application process will start on Oct. 12 and will last until Oct. 23.

Captain Deanne Jones of the Salvation Army said you must apply for an appointment because there will be no walk ins.

“Everyone’s kinda struggling in some form this year, but in order to provide that above and beyond that comes at Christmas time, this is where the salvation army will come in,” Jones said.

Deanne said their goal is to give kids some type of normalcy amid the pandemic.
