DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Salvation Army is accepting applications for Angel Tree recipients.
The Angel Tree is a Christmas assistance program that provides food, clothes, and toys to children 12 years old and under as well as food boxes to seniors 60 and over.
Right now, Angel Tree clients can make an appointment to start the intake process where the organization will get their information as well as their child’s information in order to put the child up for Angel Tree adoption.
“It’s already hard to pay your bills, meet all the needs during the normal time of the year, but when it’s Christmas time, you need to make those extra payments, we can come in and go alongside you of that process,” said Capt. Deanne Jones, Corps Officer.
To participate in the Angel Tree program, call (334) 792-1911 to schedule an appointment.
Be prepared to show your photo ID, proof of income and expenses, children’s birth certificates, as well as their clothing sizes, and their Christmas wish lists.
