Rare yellow cardinal spotted in Alabaster now a father of two

Local News

ALABASTER, Ala. (WIAT) — It appears that the rare yellow cardinal spotted in Alabaster earlier this year is now the father of two hatchlings.

The wildlife photographer who captured the photo of the rare bird, Charlie Stephenson, says he noticed the bird was spending a lot of time with a female red cardinal over the past few months.

Last week, the two hatchlings were spotted. It is uncertain if they will be yellow.
