Providence and Opp both cancel Friday’s games due to COVID-19

A Nevada man was hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19 a second time.

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Two games this Friday night have been cancelled after schools have had to deal with COVID-19.

Opp has cancelled this Friday’s game against non-region opponent W.S. Neal after the Bobcats have had players exposed to the virus.

Then Providence Christian has cancelled their game against Daleville Friday night due to players testing positive on the team. The Eagles are hoping to be able to play next Friday against Florala.

Both teams have qualified for the playoffs and should be fine in time for the first week of the post-season.
