Police: Man arrested on child porn possession charge

Local News

OPP, Ala. (WDHN) — Opp police arrested a man Tuesday who they say was in possession of child pornography.

A court affidavit states that police were tipped off by a woman that Opp resident Brad Teppenpaw, 58, had child porn on his computer after a friend of hers told her about the material.

The document says the original witness, who is not identified, alleged that Teppenpaw showed her three images/videos of young children performing sexual acts.

The victims described in the three videos were a Cuban girl between four and seven years of age, a seven-year-old white girl, and another white girl believed to be nine years of age.

The affidavit states that the witness told police the third child was made to perform a sex act with an unknown man who was said to be her stepfather.

After obtaining a search warrant, Opp police searched Teppenpaw’s home and located nude videos of children under the age of 17 on his home computer. Assorted hard drives were also discovered in his home, which authorities believed had probable cause to think there was child porn on them.

The OPD also said that methamphetamine was found inside his home.

Teppenpaw now faces charges for possession of obscene matter, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia
