Local News

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan woman turned herself in after reportedly attacking her boyfriend Monday, police say.

Police responded to a firearm assault call on Haven Drive, which is where they found the victim, Michael White, slightly injured.

White told police that he and his girlfriend, Malika Rashan Beacham, started arguing when Beacham allegedly pulled out a stun gun and shocked him.

The 31-year-old tried to get away in his car, but Beacham followed him until he stopped driving. As she left her vehicle, Beacham pulled out her .45 caliber pistol and fired two shots, grazing the man’s face.

The 30-year-old woman ran away but turned herself in. Beacham faces one charge with one count of first-degree attempted assault with a $30,000.00 bond.
