Person in Ft. Rucker standoff was suspect in Enterprise shooting, Daleville DPS says

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — More information has been released on the individuals arrested Friday night on Fort Rucker.

The Daleville Department of Public Safety put out a release saying at 5:45 p.m. Friday, its 911 communication center was called to help Ft. Rucker police with an armed barricaded individual in Munson Heights.

The department said this person was a suspect in the shooting on Rucker Boulevard in Enterprise that same day.

Chief Allen Medley and a captain help Ft. Rucker DPS with negotiations with the suspect for hours while Daleville’s chief investigator was assigned to work with the S.R.T tactical unit.

At 9:30 p.m., military police and a Daleville Tactical Officer arrested the armed suspect and another person on charges concerning illegal substances and an unregistered weapon.

So far, the identity of the shooting suspect is not known. Enterprise police said they have not released suspect information at this time.
