Ozark receives new aerospace business

Globalstar Aerospace is a federal aviation certified repair station that specializes in different aspects of aircraft construction and repair.

With moving into a new facility of over 29,000 square feet, owner Todd McGarvey explained what would be happening there.

“When you get down to what generally is wrong with the unit and what it needs to be returned to service, you’ve got to have really specialized tools.” McGarvey said. “We fabricate all that here locally so we try to utilize local machine shops and other fabricators here locally to build it because it’s a fluid process.”

Many prominent figures from Ozark were in attendance of Wednesday’s ceremony, including Ozark-Dale County EDC Chairman Derek Dickens and Mayor Bob Bunting.

“We expect great things and also, you know, often times when you have something like this, it breeds growth here in the industrial park.” Bunting said. “So we’re hoping that with Todd being here he may have a company that he works close with that needs his help.”

The ceremony concluded with the symbolic ribbon cutting and a quick tour of the property.

“You know, my grandfather, Garret Snailgrove, had a business here his whole life.” McGarvey said.
“He always told me remember who you are and where you come from. I was born here in Ozark and this is where I’m from so it just makes sense for me to come do my business here.”
