DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Officers surveyed the scene at Ussery Homes after a shooting broke out during the evening on Good Friday.

A source at the scene told News 18 that the victim, a man, suffered a facial injury under his left eye, which was bandaged up.

The man was visibly coherent and provided statements to police while an investigator collected evidence from both inside and outside the building.

Officers were not able to give an official comment on who the suspect is believed to be, but RickeyStokesNews reports that the suspect’s vehicle was found on Emmons Drive.

This would be yet another violent crime on Good Friday, as a wheelchair-bound man in Cottonwood was killed earlier in the day.

The case is under investigation.
