DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The mother of the two-year-old who died after being left in a car in June is behind bars again.

Melinda Gail King was booked on an unlawful breaking and entering charge into a vehicle Sunday, as shown by jail records.

Melinda King and her husband Robert Patrick King were originally arrested and charged with manslaughter and first-degree marijuana possession after their son Castiel made his way into a car unsupervised and remain there for hours. Castiel was rushed to Southeast Health for treatment but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said they were both intoxicated at the time.

Both were released on bond, but Robert King later had his bond revoked after being arrested for public intoxication. He was then ordered to seek treatment at a rehabilitation center before being taken back to the Houston County Jail.

Melinda King is currently in at the county jail under a $15,000 bond. Her court record does not have any motion to revoke her previous bond at this moment.
