BONIFAY, Fla. (WDHN) — A Bonifay man is facing an obscene communication charge after he attempted to solicit a minor, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office arrested Tyler Kenneth Jacobs, 32, during an undercover investigation in which Jacobs allegedly messaged what he thought was a 15-year-old girl via social media, asking for photos, sending explicit messages of himself, and arranging to have sex.
Investigators got Jacobs as he arrived at the arranged meeting site, taking him into custody. The sheriff’s office said they also found a glass pipe with methamphetamine in his vehicle.
As a result, Jacobs is charged with obscene communication – using a computer to solicit a minor, traveling to meet after using a computer to lure a child, and possession of methamphetamine.
