Man accused of impersonating law enforcement arrested after month-long search

BONIFAY, Fla. (WDHN) — The Bonifay Police Department arrested a man close to midnight on numerous felony warrants, according to a release.

Police have been looking for Jesse E. Rogers for around a month, having deemed him a suspect for felonies like burglary, criminal mischief and fraud. Rogers also is said to have been impersonating law enforcement, including the police chief.

They arrested Rogers shortly before 1:06 a.m. at a house on North Cotton Street.

Agencies involved in the arrest include the Bonifay Police Department, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and US Marshal’s Task Force.
