DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority approved a ten-year deal that will help expand Kelsey Barnard Clark’s Foster Street location for KBC.

With the members’ agreement, the restaurant will remain in downtown Dothan for the next 10 years.

“This project will consist of providing funding for $151,762, half now and the other half to occur in the next allocation cycle,”  Pat Thomas said.

Thomas said people from all over will want to visit KBC, and that’s a victory for both Kelsey and the city of Dothan.

He said they have been working to rebuild downtown for 12 years and that although they are not where they need to be, this is a big step forward.

“There will be international travel because of Kelsey’s win,” Thomas said. “You can talk to any past Top Chef winner, and you will find that so what’s better to have a boutique hotel to stay in when you’re going come to see Dothan that you never would have seen before except for Kelsey.”
