GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A jury trial is set for a man accused in the attempted murder of a baby girl back in 2018, court documents say.
Mason Johnson was arrested after authorities say he and his girlfriend Whisper Smith left their 9-week-old girl in a stroller outside
A neighbor heard the baby crying and found it badly sunburned and dehydrated.
Johnson’s trial was delayed several times before it was scheduled for 9 a.m. on Sept. 28.
Smith pleaded guilty in 2019 and received four years of probation.
