Hurricane Sally knocks out numerous roads and bridges in Geneva County

Local News

Geneva Co., Ala. (WDHN)—During Hurricane Sally last week, more than 40 roads were closed in Geneva County.

By this weekend, that number was down to 25 road closures.

On Monday night, it’s down to 15.

In addition, three wooden bridges were either damaged or destroyed by high water in Geneva County.

Barfield hopes for a Presidential FEMA Declaration.

He says that would help cover the cost of possible bridge replacements.
