ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The coldest weather of the season so far can be an inconvenience for many in the Wiregrass, but overnight freezing temperatures could prove deadly for those without shelter.

Recently, Dorothy Ann Boyers, 65, lost her home due to a series of circumstances. Monday night, police found Dorothy on the street and brought her to the Christian Mission center, which was designated as a warming station in Enterprise.

“They let me stay in a warm place, and so, I’ve been very blessed for this shelter to come into bringing me here,” Boyers said.

The Christian Mission Center has an emergency overnight shelter for around two dozen people. The center is located on south Geneva Highway in Enterprise.
