High-speed chase stretches across three counties; suspect arrested

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) — A high-speed chase stretched across three counties before coming to an end on Sunday, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says the chase actually began in Walton County, with the sheriff’s office there letting the other know that a man was escaping law enforcement in a stolen vehicle.

Suspect George Michael Quinones Santiago then reportedly drove through Holmes County on Interstate 10 before exiting the highway in Chipley.

Washington County deputies chased Quinones on State Road 77 until he hit a deputy’s patrol car and crashed at someone’s home.

Holmes County deputies caught the suspect, who was booked into the Washington County Jail on numerous charges out of Walton, Washington, and Holmes counties.

His bond was set at $100,000.
