A possible change to courthouse hours was a topic of discussion at Tuesday’s commissioners’ meeting.
While the topic was tabled, Henry County Commission Chairman David Money said there is a possibility to bring it back up at a later date. However, one thing that would need to be talked about is security. The door to the entrance has to be staffed by an armed trained person.
It was a pretty hot topic yesterday, but today it’s kind of been put on hold, but we’re not close to it you know. We’ll look at it, but there’s certain guidelines that must be met before we do it,” Money said. “We really used pretty good wisdom in deciding to just hold off on this thing, really put some study into it, and if it works out we’ll do it. If it doesn’t then we’ll just go on like we’ve been doing.”
Money said there are pros and cons, and they are open to looking at it again.
