Hearing aid essay contest begins

DOTHAN (WDHN) — The Dothan Eagle and Physician’s Hearing Center are holding their annual “Hearing aid essay” contest.

The winners of the contest receive a free hearing test, a pair of hearing aids and fitting, compliments of Physician’s Hearing Center.

Only Wiregrass residents are eligible to win the device, and contestants must be available and willing to go to Physician’s Hearing Center for a free hearing test to determine the level of hearing loss.

Director of audiology at Physician’s Hearing Center says this is something the community looks forward to every year.

“Every year it seems to have gotten bigger and bigger and bigger. It is a very exciting day here at the office, all the winners come within a two to three-hour span. We just fit one after another after another, so it’s exciting, it’s fun, I mean you’re changing lives, it’s life-changing for everybody.”

To enter, submit a short essay on why you or someone you know needs a hearing aid.
