Headland woman arrested for elder abuse in Houston County

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Headland woman is facing an elder abuse charge following her arrest Monday, according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office received a report of elder abuse toward a 74-year-old victim back on Aug. 9

Investigators eventually took Kelly Renea Floyd, 53, into custody with help from Headland police.

She was charged with second-degree elderly abuse/neglect. She was released from the Houston County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
