HARTFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — Hartford got some flooding from Hurricane Sally, and one family lost everything in their home.
At its height, water surrounded the house, and father Xavier Andrade even had to swim his family from the front door to the road where emergency personnel were waiting.
“So we looking for a place right now,” Andrade said. “We are looking for a place to stay, another house to go ahead and move home because you can see, we can’t stay here. If you go inside the house, you see, there’s water everywhere. We just trying to dry out and save what we can right now and get our stuff together, and you know, look forward to a new beginning.”
The Andrade family also has a GoFundMe page to help with the storm damage.
