Geneva police arrest Indiana man for alleged truck theft

GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN) — Geneva police Chief Tony Clemmons is praising the alertness of several of his officers after catching an interstate truck thief.

Police located Robert Kemp driving a Ford pickup after closing hours at Fowler Park.

After a vehicle background check, authorities said the 44-year-old Bloomington, Indiana, man had stolen the vehicle from a home outside of DeFuniak Springs.

In Florida, he’s facing grand theft auto. In Alabama, he also faces a felony charge of receiving stolen property.

Kemp is being held at the Geneva County Jail and is expected to be transported back to Walton County.
