Geneva Mayor Frankie Lindsey will not seek a second term

Local News

Geneva, Ala. (WDHN)—Geneva Mayor Frankie Lindsey says one term is enough.

Lindsey says he does “not” plan to qualify next month for a second term in office.

He spent more than than 40 years in law enforcement, which included long “stints” as city police chief, a Geneva County sheriff chief deputy, and an investigator with the Dale-Geneva County District Attorney’s office.

Due to a series of recent health issues and his upcoming 71st birthday, the mayor says he feels it’s now time to hand the baton to a younger generation.
