Geneva Mayor Franke Lindsey’s last council meeting as an elected official

Geneva, Ala. (WDHN)—Monday night, a bitter-sweet time for Geneva Mayor Frankie Lindsey.

This marked his final city council meeting as an elected official.

On Monday, November second, David Hayes will be sworn-in as the city’s new mayor.

In nearly five decades of public service, Lindsey served as a sheriff’s deputy, geneva’s police chief, a district attorney investigator, and finally mayor.

Besides bringing new businesses to the “City of Two Rivers, Mayor Lindsey helped facilitate more than two million dollars in federal grants to help repair chronic drainage issues.
