Geneva High principal resigns after drug-related charges

GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN) — Dr. Kary Roberts has resigned as the principal of Geneva High School following media reports on her arrest on drug-related charges.

According to a release from Geneva City Schools Superintendent Ronald Snell, the board accepted her resignation, effective immediately.

The school system will now look to fill the position.

“Working for Geneva City Schools is a privilege that carries with it enormous expectations,” the release states. “We will look for and find a leader who will exceed those expectations, someone who will serve this great community and its excellent students.”
